The method of obtaining extra heat from an open fireplace, uses open tubes as firedogs to discharge warm air. The structure, which is fitted into the hearth, has four parallel tubes (8 to 11) projecting at right angles from a larger diameter tube (1) with a connecting tube (2) for a fan. The four tubes are supported by cross straps (12,13) front and rear, each with its ends bent downwards to form feet. Each distributor tube is horizontal, with one end bent upwards at the rear for connection to the larger tube, and its other end sloping upwards for discharge.
|
