<p>The motor is incorporated in motor vehicle air conditioning ducts to provide sufficient air velocity at low vehicle speeds. By placing temp. sensitive speed control resistors in the air outlet, the dual functions of automatic motor speed regulation and cooling of the control resistors are performed. A metal hoop (3) clips over the outside of the motor casing and holds in place ceramic semiconductor temp. sensitive resistors (21) which are located in the outlet (12,13) of the air ducts. Push-on electrical connectors (15,16,17,17a) connect these resistors to the remainder of the electrical system. In order to keep the variable resistors in their best operating range, cooling fins are fixed to them and to the retaining hoop in the vicinity of the air outlets.</p> |
