<p>The hair dryer has a fan (8) and an electric heating element (10) for providing a warm air current, as well as a radiation heating element for direct drying of the hair, provided by a LV lamp (22), e.g. a halogen lamp. The latter fits into the front end of the hair dryer so as to face towards the hair in use. The warm air current is guided around the outside of the lamp (22) or passing through it via openings in the rear reflector (20) and the lens (24) of the lamp. The hair dryer provides similar drying conditions to those obtained in a salon using IR lamps.</p> |
