<p>The frame accommodates one or more punches with cushions below them. Between the frame (1) and each punch (7) are resilient coupling components, holding the punch suspended above and clear of the cushion (3) so that it can be pressed against the latter. These components can be elastic, lifting the punch clear of the cushion on release after pressing operation. They can comprise a magnet on one part, working with magnetisable material on the other one, or alternatively coil springs, compressible until the punch and cushion surfaces are in contact, may be used.</p> |
