PURPOSE:To easily and accurately manufacture a thermal transfer recording sheet having a detection mark, by printing physically detectable marks on a sheet at positions corresponding to corners and/or sides of thermal transfer recording sheets obtained by cutting the sheet, before the sheet is cut. CONSTITUTION:Physically detectable marks 2 are printed on a base sheet 1 provided with a receiving layer for receiving a dye transferred from a thermal transfer sheet when being heated, and then the sheet is cut to a desired size, thereby obtaining thermal transfer recording sheets. The detectable marks are detection marks capable of being detected optically, electrically or magnetically, and the material constituting the marks may be an ordinary coating material, a conductive coating material, a coating material containing a magnetic material, or the like. The marks are printed on the base sheet 1 at positions corresponding to corners and/or sides of the thermal transfer recording sheets obtained by cutting the base sheet 1, by a printing method such as a gravure printing method, an offset printing method and a screen printing method. |
