PURPOSE:To obtain an enzyme electrode capable of superior response speed and operating rate by incorporating a selective penetration layer and an enzyme bonding layer together and attaching an enzyme bonding layer in the state of facing to the sensitive part of an electrode. CONSTITUTION:A selective penetration layer is formed on a substrate of glass, etc., and on the layer, a porous layer is formed. In this porous layer, enzymes such as glucose oxytase, etc. is fixed under a chemical bonding process to form anenzyme bonding layer. Then a composite enzyme film being formed is stripped off the substrate. This composite enzyme film 8 is attached to a body 4 with the use of a cover 6 through packings 5, 9 in such manner that said film be applied to an electrode of platinum pole 1, silver/chlorinated silver pole 2, etc. through an enzyme- penetrable film 7 with the enzyme bonding layer 8a facing inwards and the selective penetration layer 8b facing outwards. This enzyme electrode can be used for uric acid analysis in a stable condition for a long time. |
