<p>PURPOSE:To perform and up-graded compactly and econimically treatement by providing a high-pressure activated sludge treating vessel of a tightly closed type, and a higher treating apparatus having an active carbon layer and electrodes in the lower part and a sludge colection rake in the upper part then treating the high BOD waste water. CONSTITUTION:A tightly closed activated sludge treating vessel 1, and an up- graded treating vessel 2 having a sludge collecting rake 22 in the liquid surface part, and an anode plate 20 and cathode plates 21 together with an active carbon layer 25 on the porous plate 24 in the bottom part are provided. High BOD waste water such as industrial waste water, sewage and the like is first sent to the vessel 1. When high-pressure air is admitted therein, the waste water is efficiently treated with activated sludge. After this, the treated water is led to the vessel 2, and when it is reduced of pressure and ejected from a distributing pipe 19, SS content in the treated water ascends but SS content which has not ascended floats by being entrained in the fine bubbles from the lower electrodes. On the other hand, the treated water after the removal of SS content passes through the active carbon layer 25. In this way, the higher treatment is performed efficiently with the compactly-made apparatus.</p> |
