PURPOSE:To adjust the linear expansion coefficient of the titled glass to a proper range, lower the softening temp. and enhance the water resistance by adjusting the glass to a specified composition contg. PbO, B2O3, ZnO, SiO2, Al2O3 and GeO2. CONSTITUTION:This amorphous low m.p. glass has a composition consisting of, by wt., 81.6-83.2% PbO, 6.7-11.6% B2O3, 1.1-6.2% ZnO, 1.6-3.2% SiO2, 0.5-2.1% Al2O3 and 1.6-4.2% GeO2. It has 105-120X10<-7>/ deg.C linear expansion coefficient, <=360 deg.C softening temp. and enhanced water resistance, and it is used to airtightly seal the package of an integrated circuit device. |
