PURPOSE:To improve heatproof and waterproof properties by mixing a specified terephthalic acid ester having a melting point of 40 deg.C or above in a recording layer formed of a fluoran compound, and acid material and a binder. CONSTITUTION:On a supporting body is provided the recording layer having, as fundamental components, the acid material represented by a 4,4'-isopropylidendiphenol (bisphenol A) compound and the water-soluble or nonwater-soluble binder in addition to the usually colorless or light-colored fluoran compound. In this case, dimethyl ester terephthalate and monoethyl ester terephthalate are mixed in the abovementioned fundamental components, in the weight ratio of 0.1-3 times as much as a color former and each component is made to exist in a uniform state in a heat-sensitive layer as fine particles. The thermal recording paper thus obtained is excellent in the heat-sensitive characteristic, the heatproof color development property and the waterproof property. |
