PURPOSE:To simplify the apparatus and to reduce energy consumption, by installing an intercepting doors between the inlet side and outlet side plus between the high temperature area and low tempeature area in the titled furnace, and by arranging a blowing system of the inflammable gas into the muffle plus air supplying system which treats gas leaking out into the furnace at the prescribed state. CONSTITUTION:To the titled continuous furnace 1 of strip coil 11 covered with muffle 9 having skirt seal 10 on truck 8, inlet side opening intercepting door 2', outlet side intercepting door 3', intermediate intercepting door 15 between high temperature area (b) and low temperature area (a), system 13 which introduces an atmospheric gas containing an inflammable gas (H2, CO2, etc.) into the inside of muffle 9, and air supplying system 16, are installed. The inflammable gas leaked out into furnace 1 through skirt seal 10 of the muffle is completely burned with a prescribed amount of air at high temperature area (b), and the gas is diluted to have a concn. under the combustion limit of inflammable gas by a large amount of air at low temperature area (a). Thus conventional double intercepting doors are not required and the reduction of heat efficiency caused by staying of H2 is eliminated, and, moreover, reduction of energy consumption can be achieved by burning H2 gas. |
