<p>PURPOSE:To extinguish a whirlpool within the collector and increase the output power by a method wherein guide plates are projectingly fitted on the outer wall surface of the diffuser with the collector of a turbine engine. CONSTITUTION:A combustion gas stream discharged from a turbine nozzle 1 rotates a turbine rotor 2 and a rotating power is taken out of a shaft 4. The guide plates 17, 18 are fitted on the outer peripheral surface of the diffuser outer wall 5 to straighten whirlpools produced in a collector 10 so as to be turned to an exhaust part 11 along the guide plates 17, 18, and therefore production of the whirlpools is prevented. Thus, the static pressure at the diffuser outlet can be held under the atmospheric pressure and the turbine power can be increased because of a rise of a pressure ratio in the turbine.</p> |
