<p>The present invention provides an apparatus for the construction of fan wheels of the double-aspiration type, consisting of a plurality of inclined blades arranged on a cylindrical surface, a pair of end rings for retaining the blades and at least one central disk keyed onto the blades and carrying the fan wheel hub, which apparatus comprises, in combination with a blade feed conveyor belt for carrying the required number of blades spaced at a reciprocal distance corresponding to the position of the blades when assembled on the fan wheel, a press comprising two axially moveable components, both displaceable one against the other and rotable around a common axis, each component being provided with a seat for receiving one of the locking rings, part of a device for collecting and retaining the blades coming from the conveyor belt during rotations controlled by the same components and, possibly, a support for the central disk or part thereof, with flanging devices being provided near the ring seats consenting the flanging of the rings onto the stems of the blades, and with the said components being axially displaceable one against the other from an initial ring and disk assembly position to a first approached position for collecting the blades and to a second approached position of preparing and carrying out the flanging phase to a third approached position of pressing and keying the central disk to the blades.</p> |
