A flat blank has a rib 3 between portions 1 and 2. The blank is severed into two parts which subsequently form hinge leaves along lines 8 and 9 which are parallel to the rib and on opposite sides thereof, and along lines 10 crossing the rib. The lines 8 and 9 are spaced from the rib so that each leaf includes a portion 14 or 15 projecting from the rib and forming a pivot stop.
