PURPOSE:To keep a liquid level in the oil chamber of the engine constant by communicating the oil chamber with an oil-level tank through a communicating passage with a narrow diameter and controlling an oil pump according to the liquid level in the level tank in the captioned device used for an endurance test and so on of the engine. CONSTITUTION:The communicating passage 2 with a comparatively narrow diameter is arranged between the oil chamber and the oil-level tank 1. A pair of liquid level detecting elements 8 to detect the upper limit and the lower limit of the liquid level are provided in the level tank and an oil pump 5 is stopped or operated according to signals from the both detecting elements. If the liquid level 9 descends, the oil pump 5 works to make the oil flow-in from an oil tank 4 and resultantly the liquid level 9 rises. When the liquid level 9 reaches the upper limit position, the pump 5 stops to work. The area on the liquid in the oil level tank 1 is so small that the liquid level can surely be controlled. An area on the liquid level in the oil chamber is so large that the liquid level is not chanbed in height and accordingly the oil level can be held approximately constant all times. |
