PURPOSE:To provide water-soluble working fluid of rust preventive composition for metal, by mixing alkali metal nitrite with a specific inorg. inhibitor. CONSTITUTION:A rust preventive agent composed of alkali metal nitrite and an org. inhibitor is added to water-soluble working fluid for metal in grinding of a metal with said working fluid in order to protect the metallic material from corrosion. To an aqueous soln. contg. 0.2-0.6% alkali nitrite such as sodium nitrite is added as an inorg. inhibitor 0.3-0.8% aqueous soln., made by dissolving alkali metal secondary phosphate, secondary alkali metal phosphite, alkali metal orthosilicate, alkali metal metaborate, alkali metal borate (alkali metal borate is a soln. made by dissolving orthoborate and alkali metal hydroxide in water simultaneously and is made alkaline preferably to about 8pH) simultaneously into water, then the mixed soln. is used as water-soluble working fluid for metal. |
