Novel DELTA 4,9-gonadiene-21-ol-3,20-diones of the formula <IMAGE> I wherein X is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and tritium, R1 is alkyl of 1 to 3 carbon atoms, R2 is alkyl of 1 to 12 carbon atoms and R3 is alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms in the form of 21R or 21S epimers or mixtures thereof having progestomimetic and antiestrogenic properties, their preparation and novel intermediates.
