PURPOSE:To increase the processing speed by storing the index information of a fixed amount in the batch in the memory of the picture information, when the picture information is stored. CONSTITUTION:The picture information is read by the scanner 1, and it is stored in the optical disk memory 2. The index information corresponding to the picture information is stored in order in the memory 40. When the index information in the memory 40 has attained to the fixed amount, the index information is read out in order together with the storage of the picture information at that time, and it is stored in the batch in the memory 2. Accordingly, this apparatus is constituted so that the index information is stored temporarily and is stored in the batch when it has attained to the fixed amount, and therefore the processing speed in case of storage can be increased. |
