<p>The de-superheater comprises a single transfer casing between two banks of superheater tubes (2,3) connected in series. This contains a passage forming a venturi and an outlet nozzle, the latter widening towards the tubes of the second bank. A pulverisation nozzle is supplied through the casing end wall. Seen in the flow direction, the nozzle is fully upstream of the inlets to the tubes of the second bank. The casing and the nozzle outlet end can be of circular cross-section, the nozzle end being fixed to a ring welded to the casing all the way round.</p> |
