Fluid dye compositions, e.g. for dyeing paper, comprise 30-40% by wt. of Victoria Blue B base and 70-60% by wt. of a liquid mixture containing 30-96% by wt. of an aliphatic acid, e.g. acetic acid, 0-60% by wt. water and 4-10% by wt. of a non-ionic dispersant, e.g. an alhylphenol/ethylene oxide condensate. The compositions may be prepared by stiring the Victoria Blue B base into the liquid mixture at 50-60 DEG C. An Example is given. The compositions may be diluted with water and used for dyeing paper. |
