PURPOSE:To always detect the suction head and to always set the position of it stably, by causing a pair of electrode bars supported outside the suction head to rise and fall by the remote control to remove stuck materials automatically. CONSTITUTION:A pair of electrode bars 7 and 7 induced and supported vertically at the outside of suction head 4 by support arms 8 and 8 is caused to rise and fall by the remote control. When a pair of electrode bars 7 and 7 falls and is caused to adhere to the slug bath and steel bath surface, electric signal device 9 constitutes an electricity supply circuit, and electricity supply is noticed weakly for the slug bath and strongly for the steel bath. Before slug 3 is stuck to electrode bar 7 and electrode bar 7 cannot move, electrode bar 7 is pulled up rapidly, and slug 3 is scraped by scraper 11. In this case, since detection of the height of the suction hole of head 4 is interrupted, detector 6' of the same type is installed in the side of head 4 opposite to detctor 6 previously. |
