<p>PURPOSE:To hold an improved operation feeling of a brake pedal, by a method wherein, when a pressure, in a chamber, of a liquid supplied to a pressure chamber comes up to an initial specified pressure, the pressure escapes to an accumulator to suppress the rise in the pressure, and when it further comes up to the latter specified pressure, the pressure escapes to a reservoir. CONSTITUTION:The braking operation moves a piston 7 to the left, and when a seal 41 passes through a port 20, a chamber 13 is disconnected from a reservoir 23. A small amount of a liquid in a large-sized cylinder chamber 12 flows to the reservoir 23 through an orifice 35, but a most part of it flows into the chamber 13 passing through a hole 42 and between the seal 41 and a cylinder 1, and is fed to an actuator togetherwith the liquid in the chamber 13. When the liquid pressure in the chamber 12 reaches the first reference value, a valve 24 united monolithically with a valve 31 is moved upward against a spring 27, and the liquid in the chamber 12 flows into the lower chamber of the valve 24, whereby the pressure in the chamber 12 does not rise so much, and a pedalling force decreases. When the valve 31 makes contact with a retainer 26 and the liquid pressure in the chamber 12 reaches the second specified value, the valve 24 opens, and the liquid in the chamber 21 flows to the reservoir 23 gradually as it is throttled by the valve 24 and the retainer 26.</p> |
