PURPOSE:To obtain a photoconductive material without generating a toxic gas by a method wherein Ce is added to Bi2Sn2O7 to produce a photosensitive basic material. CONSTITUTION:In a photosensitive layer for an electron photograph which is formed by blending a powder of Bi2Sn2O7 and acrylic resin, a deterioration of attenuation characteristics of a surface potential is observed at every cycle of an electrification and a light irradiation and a light attenuation characteristics becomes approximately 50% of the initial value. When Ce is added to Bi2Sn2O7 and the addition quantity is made 0.01-10atom% against a total quantity and especially, it is controlled to a 0.1-1atom%, the light attenuation characteristics hardly deteriorates. And further, with this constitution, without using Cd, S and Se, etc. which are problematic for environmental sanitation, a photoconductive material can be formed, thus, being very useful. |
