PURPOSE:To make it possible to a bead of a joint form superior in footing equality, by adjusting the grading constitution and the apparent density of iron powder in the covering material which covers the core. CONSTITUTION:In the iron powder-system covered electrode, iron powder which is so adjusted that particles of 25-80% grains coarser than 100 meshes and 3.0g/ cm<3> or less apparent density and particles of 5-25% grains finer than 200 meshes and 2.9g/cm<3> or less apparent density may be contained is used as iron powder in the covering material. By the use of this covered electrode, a welding part to satisfy footing equality, the bead form, rearc property, and so on is formed under a superior welding workability in horizontal fillet welding and so on. |
