PURPOSE:To prevent effectively the formation of a conductive film on the periphery of the anode terminal of a cathode-ray tube, which is caused by the adhesion of graphitic particles, by arranging an inner cover on a portion which covers the anode terminal, and establishing a space between the inner cover and an outer cover. CONSTITUTION:A cover 13, which is used at the time of spreading the outer conductive film of a cathode-ray tube, is composed of an outer cover 14 which has a packing 15 on its circular edge portion and an inner cover 16 which is arranged in the outer cover 14, and the inner cover 16 is made sucking disk likely of a substance which transforms freely, for example, such a material as rubber or the like. The cover 13 is used in the condition of attaching it on a bulb 2 by causing the inner cover of the cover 13 to stick on the surface of the bulb 2 so as to surround an anode electrode terminal 3, and, furthermore, surrounding its periphery with the packing 15. Thereby, the penetration of so much graphitic particles as to reduce the insulating characteristic of the terminal 3 into the inner cover 16 can be prevented certainly. |
