<p>PURPOSE:To enhance heat-resistance, durability, and structure-strength by forming a honeycomb type catalyst carrier structure through hardening treament of a drop- stitch plain-weave cloth a C-glass fibers. CONSTITUTION:A permeable hardener such as silica sol is impregnated into a drop-stitch plain-weave cloth consisting of C-glass fibers, dried in a mold, and formed into a honeycomb base plate 1. The honeycomb base plates 1 are overlayed and laminated into a honeycomb structure using an adhesive such as sodium silicate. AS required, ethyl silicate is impregnated into the structure, and hydrolyzed under high pressure steam to convert ethyl silicate to silicic acid gel. This structure for carrying denitrificating catalyst is easy to carry catalyst, maintains strength for a long period of service, and therefore and largely contribute to the cleaning treatment of waste or exhaust gas.</p> |
