<p>PURPOSE:To easily and economically treat a waste solvent gas by a method wherein combusted waste gas generated from a catalytic combustion equipment is made into a desorbing carrier gas by cooling in a cooler installed between the same equipment and a solvent-adsorption equipment. CONSTITUTION:Contaminated gas is sucked by the blower 2, passed through the adsorption equipment 8, and the cleaned air is discharged from a duct 5. Meanwhile, waste gas from the catalytic combustion equipment is cooled in the cooler 10, is made into a desorbing carrier gas and guided into the adsorption equipment in which adsorbent is saturated with solvent. At this time, to prevent the solvent concentration at starting of desorption from being in the range of explosion, the oxygen concentration must be reduced. To achieve this, the oxygen concentration detector 12 is installed downstream of a device 9, and the valves 23, 24 are controlled by controller 11, and if required, nitrogen gas is guided through a duct 27. Solvent gas concentration to the device 9 is maintained below about 1/4-1/5 of the lower limit of explosion.</p> |
