摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve the yielding of a liquid-crystal panel with electric power consumption reduced while excluding refreshing operation by forming a positive feedback loop by providing a semiconductor device on an insulating substrate, such as a semiconductor substrate and glass, and by driving the liquid-crystal panel by the output of the photodetector of the semiconductor device. CONSTITUTION:For example, pulse Si substrate 25 is p-diffused 29 and 30 for the source and drain of a transistor and then p-diffused 31 for the base area of an emitter follower transistor and then emitter 32 is formed. Next, field oxidized film 35 and gate insulating film 33 for forming a channel are formed and on them, polycrystalline silicon layer 37 is deposited. Then, part 38 forming high resistance is removed and P<+> and N<+> diffusion is carried out. Next, SiO2 layer 34 is deposited and conact hole 39 is made; and Al is vapor-deposited and then etched to form lower electrode 36 of the panel. On it, liquid crystal 26 is positioned sandwiched in between mesa electrode 27 and substrate glass 28. Opening part 40 is a photodetection part.</p>
