Different coloured markings are added to sheet music to indicate e.g. the relation between adjacent notes. The white surfaces from left to right are spaced in a regular manner for standardisation and obliterate parts of the stave. The length of the note is shown by a vertical green line (2). The white marks (5) are blank to receive marks made as notes of various types and additional to other coloured markings. The blanks can be of other colours to render them more visible, particularly if the music is printed on coloured paper.
|
