<p>Gloves, esp. leather gloves, are made impermeable by forming over the entire inner surface of the glove, on the flesh side, a thin and flexible latex film as follows:- the glove is held open in a vertical position with the fingers pointing downwards and is then filled with a latex suspension in a suitable solvent; it is allowed to stand for a while to initiate deposition of the latex film; each finger is protected with a matching sheath and the glove is gradually tilted to pour out the latex suspension while maintaining the glove under tension in an open state by suitable means.
