<p>The engine-driven cultivator is in the form of a rotary hoe with a central portion (3) accommodating the engine (21), and a rear section for a gearbox (1) equipped with a rotary tool (2) and resting on a support (11). At the front is a large- diameter guide wheel (8). The support can be adjustable for height by a lever held in place by a spring, and has notches engaging with a pin fixed to the rear part of the frame. On each side of the guide wheel are foliage deflector bars extending to the rear. A drum or shoe brake can be provided, acting on the guide wheel to regulate the travel speed.</p> |
