<p>The adjustable seat for a young child can rest on the ground or be mounted on a vehicle seat. It has adjusting handles (13,13a) which are accessible from the front. The seat portion (1) is attached to a tubular frame with two side tubes (2,4) connected by hinges (6a,6b) to a horizontal U shaped base tube (5). This enables the seat to be swung about a horizontal axis. Each side tube is bent into a right angle, with one arm (3c) supporting the back, and the other arm (3b) carrying a channel (15). Between the channels is a U shaped strap (7) with its cross piece (7c) carrying the locking device and its side arms (7a,7b) connected by hinges to tge base tube. To tilt the seat, the cross piece is moved along the channels by swinging its arms. The cross piece is then locked by spring loaded pins which are released or locked by the adjusting handles.</p> |
