Tractor-mounted grass-cutting implement - has booms and cutter head lifted as unit by ram and spring

The tractor-mounted implement is for cutting stem plants such as grass, weeds etc. having a ram-operated derricking boom on a platform slewing on a frame hitched to the tractor. A second ram-operated boom derricks on the free end of the first one and supports a cutter head. The first (12) and second (13) booms and the head (14) are lifted as a unit by a single-acting ram (50) and a spring (55) coupled between the first boom and the platform. The spring and the ram are on diametrally opposite sides of the first boom. The ram can be supplied via a pressure-limitation device, so that the boom cannot fall suddenly due to pressure failure.
