<p>Simple provision is made for notching in position an object moving about an axis of rotation, by a self-locking hinge joint made of elastic material. The hinge bearing consists of a solid prism (1b) of smaller cross-section, rotatably mounted in a hollow prism (1a). The corner dimension of the solid one exceeds the key width of the hollow one so that movement of the former results in locking positions with angle settings largely determinable by the number of inner and outer edges (3,4). The mechanism is simple, and min. effort is needed for disengaging the locking positions, or a tilt and turn fitting, or similar.</p> |
