Hydraulic flushing appliance removing duct bottom deposits - has helix on shaft permitting both axial and rotary flow

The appts. cleans out the bottom of drainage channels or ducts. Free flow is facilitated, and build up of foul gases is prevented, esp. in urban water drainage systems, by a hydraulically driven flushing appliance, of the spiral type. Use is made of a spiral unit, located on a shaft, permitting an axial as well as a rotary flow in the duct. Length of spiral and shaft can vary, likewise shaft dia. and spiral course; or in some cases the shaft can be dispensed with altogether. The spiral is pref. elastic enough to deal with very large objects.
