<p>PURPOSE:To improve flexibility and durability, by a method wherein a reinforcing layer, consisting of a plurality of stringy strands, is wound in a spiral around an outer circumference of a metal flexible tube rolled in a spiral, and an elastic synthetic resin cover is further placed monolithically on an outer circumference thereof. CONSTITUTION:A metal spiral tube 1, which is formed by spirally winding a metal strand 1a, is used as a metal flexible tube 10 and a large number of stringy strands 2a, made of carbon fiber, glass fiber, natural fiber and the like, are braided to form a reinforcing layer 2 at an outer circumference of the metal flexible tube 10. An elastic synthetic resin covering layer 3 is formed such that gaps at the stringy strands 2a are filled up and the layer 3 covers the outer circumference surface to be monolithically united with the reinforcing layer 2, and thus, a desired flexible conduit can be obtained. This causes the cover 3 to be united monolithically with the reinforcing layer 2, whereby the occurrence of cracks at the cover 3 at a low temperature time can be prevented and the conduit can be prevented from entry of rain and water thereinto when a part of the cover 3 is damaged.</p> |
