<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of NH3 odor at the starting of a copying machine by providing change-over valves at the inlet and outlet of the developing chamber and operating these. CONSTITUTION:A check valve 11 is installed on the inlet side of a developing chamber 2 and a 3-way solenoid valve 13 on the outlet side. At the starting, the heater of the copying machine is turned on and the 3-way solenoid valve 13 is connected to the by-pass line 12. A solenoid valve 8 is then closed and a blower 6 is operated to circulate the air not containing any NH3 gas in the developing chamber 2 to the chamber 2 by way of the lines 12, 7, blower 6, feedback line 10 and check valve 11. At the same time, the apparatus temp. is quickly elevated while the inflow of the developing gas from a developing gas (NH3) generating member 1 into the chamber 2 is being blocked by the check valve 11. Thence, when the apparatus assumes a predetermined temp., the solenoid valve 8 is opened and the 3-way solenoid valve 13 is connected to the pipeline 5 side, thence the check valve 11 is opened to the member 1 side to allow the developing gas from the member 1 to flow through the chamber 2, deodorizing member 4, blower 6 and solenoid valve 8 in this order, after which it is exhausted to the outside of the apparatus.</p> |
