PURPOSE:To decrease requirement against a mirror surface of of a conductive substrate and reduce cost price by forming an amorphous semiconductor layer onto the conductive substrate through a transparent conductive layer. CONSTITUTION:A transparent conductive pipe 6 in SnO2, etc. is made up on a substrate 1 in stainless steel, etc., defects such as flaws on a surface of the substrate 1 are covered, and the smooth surface is formed. An amorphous Si layer 2, a Schottky-barrier metallic film 3, electrode layers 4 and a reflection preventive film 5 are laminated on the pipe 6. In this case, the electrodes 4 and the metallic film 3 are not shortcircuited because a surface of the layer 6 is smooth. The internal resistance of a cell hardly increases because the resistance of the conductive pipe 6 is low. According to this constitution, requirement against a substrate surface condiction is decreased without lowering characteristics and cost price is reduced. |
