The mudflap is of rubber or similar material and for attachment to the mudguard of a motor vehicle, having symbols embossed on its surface and of a different colour to the rest of its visible portion. Each symbol is formed by a large number of pin or hump-shaped protrusions, placed close together on the surface of the flap. These can be cohesive and formed on a common support plate, glued on its rear face. They can be pressed through perforations formed in the plate.
