<p>The elastic mounting is for a torsionally-rigid platform on a torsionally-flexible vehicle chassis reinforced by an auxiliary chassis. The platform is secured to the latter, which is in turn secured to the main one. At the forward end, seen in the travel direction, the platform (4) is accommodated in two rubber articulated bearings, whose spring action is weak under tension and strong under compression (7). Near the rear axle (6) it is supported in a pair of bearings, rigid in the lengthwise direction and tilting in the transverse one. At the rear end it is supported by resilient screw connections on the auxiliary chassis (5).</p> |
