<p>The screening device is intended for testing generator rotors in centrifugal force measuring bunkers using screening housings. The latter, including their front surfaces (5), consist of several screening segments (3), divided in axial and radial direction, being preferably assembled centrally to the generator rotor axis. Preferably the screening segments are freely movable, e.g. via mobile carriages, and afford assembly outride the measuring bunkers The screening assembly absorbs conductively eddy currents, generated by the magnetic field surrounding the generator rotor. Without such screening assembly, these eddy currents would flow via the metal parts of the measuring bunkers causing heating which would require additional cooling.</p> |
