Mechanical oil slick removing installation - has wipers and driven disc with affinity for oil

The oil removing system has a circular disc (1) on a driven shaft (2). The surface of the disc has special affinity for the oil being removed. Wipers (17,12) are located both sides of the disc. The disc is coated with a hydrophobic material and is made of metal or plastic with a structured surface e.g. radial grooves. The wipers are equal in length to the radius of the disc and are inclined at an acute angle to the surface of the disc. The wipers are adjustable and are made of hydrophobic material e.g. plastics.
