The securing bow is for a suspension rod insertable into transport containers for items of clothing parallel to the opening of the container. The suspension rod consists of a thick walled pipe section. It is fitted with attachment devices at both ends and is equipped with a securing bow extending over the whole of its length formed by a cut out of profiled material directed parallel to the suspension rod, connected to it and movable relative to it. The securing bow is clamped in the secured position by holding links distributed along the length of the suspension rod. There are two kinds of holding links, one to hold the securing bow in the open position and the other to hold it in the closed position, with the former formed by pins directed radially to the suspension rod and rigidly connected to it in conjunction with eyes positioned on the securing bow.
