PURPOSE:To quantify the composition concentration of pickling solution continuously and accurately by measuring the transmission amount of X rays of shorter and longer wavelength rather than K absorbing end wavelength or iron, and measuring the specific gravity. CONSTITUTION:Into the B to be measured, an X ray transmission strength measuring device A and a specific gravity measuring device 1 of balance type or the like are immersed. Two X ray sources 11, 21 of the X ray transmission strength measuring device A and two X ray scintillation counters 12, 22 are taken in container 13, 13', 23, 23' made of material stable to a strong acid liquid, for example iconnel alloy. The output data from the X ray transmission strength measuring device A and the specific gravity meter 1 are fed to the operating part 5 and a predetermined operation is made to obtain the concentration of a specific composition in the pickling solution. As X rays, two wavelength of shorter and longer sides rather than K absorbing end wavelength of iron are used. |
