A lower ceiling for protecting the bearing ceilings of rooms such as industrial kitchens, slaughterhouses, washhouses and the like from rising vapours and the precipitation of materials contained therein, with ceiling elements arranged below the bearing ceiling and having a surface promoting the formation of condensate, the lateral edges of the ceiling elements being received in collecting troughs connected to a condensate receiver, whilst maintaining a spacing to the walls of the collecting troughs and to the lateral edge of each adjacent ceiling element, characterized in that the lower edges of the collecting troughs (12) each have a vertically extending bar (22) which is provided at its apex with two symmetrically arranged legs (26, 28).</p> |
