PURPOSE:To prevent the ignition of semicoke liable to occur during the transportation of the semicoke, by supplying combustion exhaust gas to the duct for transporting the semicoke used in the sulfur-recovering dry-type flue-gas desulfurization process. CONSTITUTION:Coal charged through a duct 10 is burnt in a boiler 1, and the generated SO2- containing flue gas is made to contact with a carbonaceous adsorbent in an adsorption column 2 to remove SO2 and exhausted through the duct 20 and the stack 6. The carbonaceous adsorbent is regenerated by removing SO2 in a desorption column 3, and the major part of the adsorbent is returned to the adsorbent column, while the crushed and powdered adsorbent is burnt in a combustion furnace 9. The desorbed SO2 is reduced in a sulfur-converter 4 to obtain sulfur element. On the other hand, a part of the charged coal is introduced into the carbonization oven 7 through the duct 11, and the produced semicoke is activated with steam in an activation furnace 8 to obtain the carbonaceous adsorbent, which is supplied to the adsorption column 2 through the ducts 14 and 30. When the oxygen concentration in the duct 13 or 14 exceeds a predetermined level, a part of the exhaust gas from the combustion furnace 9 is introduced into the duct 13 or 14 through the duct 33 or 34 to reduce the oxygen concentration. |
