Tyre shaping bladder(10) has sections of reduced thickness and longitudinal plastics reinforcement. Inflating bellows for curving a pneumatic-tyre blank has a central section(16) with cylindrical and axially symmetric zones of varying radial thickness. On either side of the central section there are annularly radially inward-pointing end sections(20) each of which has a rim. The zones of less radial thickness are formed by annular or helical grooves(26) in the wall of the central section. a reinforcement(30) extends over the entire belows from one end rim to the other.
