PURPOSE:To prevent recording paper from being peeled off from a carrying means more effectively by a method wherein a specified corona charger is provided for a charge deflection type ink jet recorder in which the means of carrying recording paper is charged with electricity possessed by the specified pole. CONSTITUTION:To form an image of good quality, ink jet particles, which are allowed to adhere to recording paper 7 to be carried by a dielectric drum 8, are periodically charged with electricity possessed by either of the poles, using a charger 15 that consists of a DC power source 12, a charge control circuit 13, aperture board 14, etc. The DC power source and a corona charger 19 are connected to the above apparatus to charge the recording paper 7 with electricity possessed by the pole opposite in polarity to that of a dielectric drum 8. This allows the recording paper 7 to strongly adhere to the dielectric drum 8, preventing the recording paper from being peeled off from the drum and improving printing. |
