PURPOSE:To reduce the overall height of a cassette tape recorder to make a suitable application to a car stereo set, by securing a free movement in both the inner and outer directions for the mobile base plate containing the reel shaft and the capstan shaft to the fixed frame. CONSTITUTION:The tape cassette 8 is loaded at the loading part 9 of the mobile base plate 2 which can move to the fixed frame 1 via the slide plate 3, in case the plate 2 is pulled out. When the plate 2 is slid inward, the lock lever 35 hooks to the lock pin 36. At the same time, the magnet 38 conducts to hold the plate 2. The cassette 8 is pressed from the upper side by the cassette holding spring 41 which is fixed to the tongue piece 40 at the upper edge of the right and left side plates 1a and 1b of the frame 1 during the inward sliding of the plate 2. While the spring 41 is blocked for its movement together with the plate 2 by the frame 1 to be removed from the part 9 when the plate 2 is slid outward. |
