PURPOSE:An emulsifier for cosmetic for skin, hair and mouth that contains a hydrophilic saccharified starch fatty acid ester having glucose units of a specific average polymerization degree. CONSTITUTION:A hydrophilic saccharified starch (or saccharified starch alcohol) with an average polymerization degree of 3-20, preferably 3-9 glucose units is esterified with a fatty acid of 8 or more carbon atoms such as lauric, stearic or oleic acid so that the glucose units becomes 2 or more per one fatty acid to prepare a hydrophilic saccharified starch eater and/or hydrophilic saccharified starch alcohol fatty acid ester, which is used as an emulsifier for cosmetics. The ester is used in cosmetic for skin such as cream, lotion, toilet powder, lip stick or eyebrow pencil or for tooth paste. Further, it is used for agricultural chemicals, emulsion polymerization, or medicines such as ointment or tablets. |
