A PAIR OF VIDEO TAPE RECORDERS A pair of video tape recorders are employed in editing video information. The tape carried by each of the video tape recorders has a time code address recorded thereon divided into frame intervals. The first one of the video tape recorders advances the tape at a normal capstan servo-locked playback tape speed while the second video tape recorder advances the tape at different speeds in response to the difference between the time code signals reproduced from both of the video tape recorders. When the time code difference reaches a predetermined value in association with the time codes of an editing point, the second video tape recorder is controlled to advance the tape at the normal capstan serv-locked playback tape speed.
